Fee Schedules
Otago Radiology performs radiology services for many different patient categories. These include private fee-paying patients, patients covered under various subsidy schemes, some of which involve a co-payment for which the patient is responsible, and contracted services at rural hospitals in Otago and Southland. Information on patient eligibility for public susidy based on residency is found here.
Bookings
Non ACC referrals are accepted from any registered medical practitioner, midwife, physiotherapist, chiropractor podiatrist or osteopath. Patients are welcome to self refer for screening mammography otherwise we require a referral from one of these health professionals.
ACC referrals are accepted from any registered medical practitioner, physiotherapist, chiropractor, podiatrist or osteopath.
ACC Hi Tech referrals are accepted from medical specialists and General Practitioners with Special Interests (GPSIs) only. There is no surcharge.

Standard Fee Schedules
Fee schedules for non subsidised and discounted examinations, maternity scans and examinations performed under Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) regulations are listed on the column to the left.
There may be part charges for ACC and Maternity ultrasound scans.
These prices are subject to change at any time. For some examinations there may be additional charges e.g. for anaesthesia. If you are concerned about the possible price of your examination, please fax the request form to us, or telephone us for an evaluation.
Rural Hospitals
We have listed the examinations performed at Clutha Health First , Dunstan Hospital and Gore Hospital with an indication of charges and eligibility for public funding.
Payment
Payment at the time of the examination is expected. We accept most forms of payment, by cash, cheque and most major credit cards.
Accounts can also be settled online using internet banking or a credit card. Please do not hesitate to ask to speak to us before your examination, if you anticipate difficulty with payment.
